Team Chat & Messaging
Communicate with your team through group chat, direct messages, and built-in support chat.
OfficeHubb includes a built-in chat system so your team can communicate without leaving the platform. Access chat from the chat button in the top bar.
Chat types
### Team Chat
A shared channel for all agency members. Messages are visible to everyone on your team and persist permanently across sessions and devices. Use it for announcements, quick questions, or general coordination.
### Direct Messages (DMs)
Private one-on-one conversations between any two team members. Only the two participants can see DM messages. Start a DM by clicking on a team member's name in the chat panel.
### OfficeHubb Support Chat
Need help? Open a support chat directly from the app. An AI assistant handles the initial response using OfficeHubb documentation. If the AI can't resolve your question, a real support representative joins the conversation. The thread stays open until support closes it.
Chat panel
The chat panel slides out from the right side of the screen when you click the chat button in the top bar. It shows:
- Conversations list — All your team chats, DMs, and support threads in one place.
- Unread badges — Each conversation shows a count of unread messages so you never miss anything.
- Online status — A green dot means the team member was active in the last 5 minutes. A gray dot means they are offline.
How messages work
- Messages are delivered in real time — no need to refresh.
- Your full message history is stored permanently and available on any device where you are signed in.
- Messages support text only. File sharing is not currently supported in chat.
Tips
- Use Team Chat for anything the whole agency should see.
- Use DMs for quick one-on-one conversations that don't need to involve everyone.
- Check the support chat if you need platform help — it's faster than email for most questions.
